V5 Car Loan FAQs
There are a number of questions we receive regarding Landbeach logbook loans,so for your convenience we have compiled a list of answers to the more frequently asked questions we receive on a daily basis.
How do they work?
Quite simply the way Landbeach Logbook Loans work is that you use your car as security in order to receive a loan against the value of it. In order to receive the loan you need to own the car yourself (or have very little finance on it) then hand over the V5 document in exchange for an agreed amount of up to 80% of the car’s value. You can carry on driving your car throughout the loan period, and once repaid your V5 document is returned to you. They are particularly popular in Cambridgeshire as they can often be available to residents with poor credit scores.
What will I need to apply?
You’ll need to provide several forms of documentation before you can successfully enquire about a loan. Of course, the most important of these are your valid photo identification and your V5 documents, or logbook, as these will prove that you are the rightful owner of the car you want to use as security. You should also bring a current MOT, proof of insurance, and a copy of your most recent utility bill (in your name) to prove your Cambridgeshire residency, along with payslips or bank statements that show your income.
Why are Logbook Loans in Landbeach a good idea?
This kind of loan is ideal for Cambridgeshire residents who have bad credit score and have no other form of finance available to them. Regardless of how bad or poor your credit score history, there could be less chance of getting rejected. You simply need to meet the requirements, especially pertaining ownership of the car, and you could be approved for the loan. Your credit history might not be a negative factor when issuing the approval for your loan application. Generally, approval for lending against your Landbeach vehicle mainly depends on the make or model of the car that you’re using as security. You can even get money on the same day!.
What about Landbeach V5 Loans and unemployment?
It can be difficult for the unemployed to take out any type of loan. As part of a responsible lending approach Cambridgeshire logbook lenders need to be satisfied that you can make the payments every month so you minimise any risk of losing ownership of your car. As all situations are different, it is advised that you get in touch via the form on this page to discuss the lending options available to you.
Does my poor credit score affect my Landbeach loan application?
A poor credit score normally means refusal for any other type of Cambridgeshire loan, however when looking at these type of loans you may find that it is easier to be accepted even with bad credit history. Using your car as security for the loan means the lender is facing less risk and so they are more likely to lend against your vehicle. You will still undergo a credit check, but the outcome will not always mean refusal. Apply online today to find out!
Does it matter if I can’t prove my income?
You need to be able to prove to your logbook lender that you can afford the monthly payments. Part of being a responsible lender is that they will only lend money to Landbeach applicants who can afford to make the monthly repayments. Landbeach v5 loans are only offered if the lender can be sure that the repayments are affordable, which helps avoid accounts going into arrears and the possibility of car repossession. Get in touch today to see what your options are if you’re finding it hard to prove your income level.
Am I responsible for car maintenance?
As part of your loan agreement, it will be your responsibility to maintain your car’s value for the entire term. Lenders do expect some wear and tear (as well as additional mileage) since you will keep possession and use of the car, but you should report any significant damage, mechanical failures, or events that depreciate your car’s value significantly. In the meantime, it is also your responsibility to carry insurance at all times, to have regular MOT checks performed, and to have the car serviced.
Will a HPI check show a Loan?
Any loans taken out against the car are normally recorded on a database which is known as the HPI Index where anybody can check for the vehicle’s history prior to purchasing it. When you do a HPI check, you will get to know the vehicle’s true financial history. The HPI check report will also show you the vehicle’s history including; whether the logbook is legitimate, insurance write-off, previous number of owners, previous number plate changes, potential mileage discrepancies, and more.
How long are the loan repayments?
Logbook lending repayment periods can take up to 36 months, which means that you get to spread the repayment for a long period of time. You can decide to make your repayments based on the schedule you’re comfortable with. You can choose the 12 months repayment period, the 18 months repayment period or the 36 months repayment period. Also, if you choose to repay the loan early, you will not be penalised.
